FAQS
Yes, the HÖT BAR is designed for both positions; you can place it vertically or horizontally on a flat surface. However, it's important to note that the heater features TiltSafe™ technology, which will automatically shut off the device if it is tilted more than 45 degrees. This helps prevent unsafe operation due to accidental bumps or unstable placement.
The HÖT BAR features two heat intensity modes. Low mode operates at 1300W and is ideal for mild heating needs or smaller spaces. High mode operates at 2200W and provides faster, more powerful warmth, great for larger areas or colder conditions. You can switch between these modes using the heat intensity mode button on the touch control panel.
ECO mode is designed for energy efficiency. When activated, it maintains a consistent temperature by automatically turning the heater on and off depending on the room's current heat level. You can choose between two preset temperatures, 18°C and 24°C. This feature helps you maintain temperature while using less power.
The HÖT BAR should not be used by children under 10 years of age. While it’s designed with safety features, it’s still a high-power appliance. Children over 10 should only use it with adult supervision. Likewise, if you have pets around, always supervise the heater while it’s on to prevent any accidents.
The rattling sound is completely normal! If your product tilts, you may hear a light rattling sound. This is just the TiltSafe sensor. Don’t worry your PTC and all internal parts are securely in place.
There are a few things you should check to make sure the appliance is working: ensure it’s plugged into a 220–240V, 16A socket, and that both the main switch and the On/Off button at the back are turned on. The heater must be placed flat so the TiltSafe™ feature doesn’t stop it from powering on, and if you’re using an extension, make sure it’s 16A-rated. If it still doesn’t start, try a different wall socket.
If the heater is on but not feeling warm yet, give it a minute to stabilise and make sure the air vents aren’t blocked. Also check if it’s in Eco Mode (18°C or 24°C), in this mode, it pauses once the room reaches the set temperature and turns back on only when it gets cooler!
Before cleaning, always unplug the heater and let it cool down completely. Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe the outer surface. Avoid using any liquids or cleaning sprays directly on the unit! To clean the filter, check out our HOW TO video: https://youtu.be/S33leEjOu-o
Yes, the HÖT BAR can be used with an extension cord, but it must be rated for at least 16 amps to handle the heater’s power safely. Never use the heater with a worn-out, damaged, or under-rated power cord or extension, as this can lead to overheating, malfunction, or fire risk. Always inspect cords before use.
The HÖT BAR has an auto-off Timer that lets you choose after how many hours it should switch off. Turn on the HÖT BAR, press the Timer button, and the hour indicators will light up to show the total time set. 1h = 1 hour, 2h = 2 hours, 1h + 2h = 3 hours, 4h = 4 hours, 1h + 4h = 5 hours, 2h + 4h = 6 hours, and 1h + 2h + 4h = 7 hours. Select the combination you want, and the HÖT BAR will turn off automatically after that duration.
